Marion Perrin is a senior researcher in electrical storage, with 15 years’ experience focusing on renewable energy storage applications. Following 4 years with ZSW in Germany she obtained a PhD from the University of Nancy, France, related to the improvement of lead acid batteries via mechanical compression. In 2002 she joined the CEA , where she started to develop and lead European programmes dealing with storage for standalone PV systems, moving rapidly towards grid connected systems with the development of distributed generation.
After a 2 year adventure with Conergy, acting as an electrical storage expert in the department for power electronics, she now leads a business unit at the CEA (team of 80 employees), dealing with PV systems (electrical architecture, conversion and safety), electrical storage (sizing, technology selection and management) as well as the integration of renewables, storage and electric vehicles into smarter grids.
